The department of Pharmaceutical chemistry is mainly concerned with taking Theory/ Tutorial and Practical’s in the subjects of Pharmaceutical Inorganic chemistry, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical analysis for the undergraduate students of the B.Pharm.
This department mainly undertakes experiments such as the identification of pharmaceutical organic or inorganic compounds by qualitative & quantitative analysis. Moreover, students do experiment like the synthesis of various intermediates and APIs. The department of Pharmaceutical chemistry offers excellent infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories and knowledge in the form of a vast collection of relevant textbooks, reference books and Journals. The department faculties have received minor research grant from the University of Mumbai and the faculties are actively involved in research and consultancy activities.
